Ride with René - for passionate cyclists
The sporting component and having fun are the focus
Fitness, high motivation and good health
Ride with René offers tours where the focus is on sport and having fun.
We don't compete, but ride together in a small, exclusive team. Therefore, good group dynamics and harmony within the team are very important. Ride with René is more than just a "social ride" or "coffee ride."
It's especially important to help each other during climbs. However, everyone should also have the opportunity to try things out and push each other. Summits should generally be reached together.
If the field does spread out a little, we wait a short while and then continue when it joins up.
Specific tour details, including desired break schedules, will be discussed on the morning of the tour. A brief tour briefing is always held over breakfast.
You'll have the opportunity to hone your athletic skills and push your limits while capturing the breathtaking scenery. In summary, we'll be road cycling in an incredible yet challenging environment.
To fully enjoy the tours, good health, a sufficient level of fitness and high motivation are essential.
If you have any questions, concerns, or uncertainties, you can contact me at any time using the contact details below.

You should bring sufficient clothing appropriate for the season. Don't forget your helmet. No start without a helmet.
If you come with your own bike, you should be able to store and have at least one spare tube and one cartridge with you.
Bring your own devices for use on rides. Computers, heart rate monitors, etc. A rear light is never a bad idea.
Your own clipless pedals can be mounted on a rental bike.
I recommend adequate insurance coverage. Ride with René does not cover personal injury, property damage, or financial loss. Your insurance coverage should also include damage to rented and borrowed items. Ride with René does not cover damage to rental bikes caused by the user. Wear and tear is not included.
If you cancel or withdraw from your booked tour, the following applies:
90 days before tour start: 90% refund.
31 days to 90 days before tour start: 50% refund
from 30 days before the tour start: no refund
Important information for your tours
You are responsible for your own meals during the tours. It's important that you have enough food and water. Various freshwater fountains provide the opportunity to refill your water bottles; getting something to eat quickly isn't always possible.
I recommend bringing plenty of energy bars and gels with you to prevent hunger. Once you get hungry, it's usually too late.
If a breakdown occurs along the way that requires on-site repair (e.g. flat tire), we help each other and continue on our way.
If you can't repair the damage yourself, a free pick-up service is available nearby. If it's your personal bike, you can choose a bike from our range (at an additional cost). If you're riding a bike from our inventory, the replacement is free of charge. The same applies to spare parts, which can be included (material costs apply for your own bike, but not for ours). We provide assembly aids and special tools.
If, contrary to expectations, you experience a physical breakdown during a tour, you have the option of completing the stage on your own or using the shuttle service to transport you to your hotel.
If the start of a tour is too dangerous for our safety due to adverse weather conditions and the tour is therefore canceled, you will receive a pro rata refund. However, we reserve the right to postpone the start of the tour by a few hours on the same day to allow for the tour to take place. A route change may also be made if necessary. Light rain does not pose a significant risk in most cases.
A short briefing takes place in the morning before the start of each stage. GPX files for the day's tour are also distributed to all participants with computers/navigation systems.
You will receive a short, clear "tour book" via email approximately two weeks before your tour starts.
